The contract was awarded to ASE Direct based on the recommendation of hospital experts who serve on one of Vizient’s member-led councils, and it signifies to Vizient members the unique qualities the potentially bring improvement to healthcare.
Innovative Technology contracts are recommended after an in-depth review and interaction with products submitted through Vizient’s Innovative Technology Program. Vizient member-led councils identify technologies that have the capability to enhance clinical care, patient safety, health care worker safety or improve business operations of health care organizations.
The FIZE kUO is an electronic, automatic, and continuous urine output measuring device that provides real-time, minute-to-minute kidney urine output measurement data at an unparalleled accuracy. The FIZE kUO connects to the hospital Electronic Medical Record (EMR), which not only reduces the burden of manual data entry, but also improves overall care by optimizing fluid management and enabling more
effective and timely interventions. FIZE kUO can work with any type of Foley catheter and is very flexible in terms of positioning and overall usability.
