Consumables Category Manager

As a Consumables Category Manager at FIZE Medical, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the management of consumable medical products essential for our operations. This role bridges the realms of clinical understanding, business development and product management. You will be responsible for ensuring the best product market fit and overseeing the consumable products lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, logistics, quality assurance, and sales, to ensure seamless integration of consumables into our overall operations. Provide validated insights to internal stakeholders regarding the suitability of consumables for specific market segments and use cases. Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to align inventory and sourcing strategies with business objectives and operational priorities.

Product Management: Understand the clinical applications and requirements of consumable medical products within our portfolio. Collaborate with product management team to align consumables strategy with product development plans, evaluate and validate use cases for consumables in coordination with product development teams, ensuring that the selected consumables meet the needs of our customers and enhance the financial performance of business. Constantly search for innovation.

Write and manage product supportive collaterals such as instructions for use, brochures, catalogs, etc.

Strategic partnerships: Lead the strategic collaboration for consumable medical products. Additionally, collaborating with cross-functional teams including R&D, operations, clinical operations, and regulatory affairs. Verify product-market fit by assessing how selected consumables align with our target market’s needs and use cases.

Customer support and training- monitor customer complaints, provide training to users, sales teams, distributors, etc.

Cost Management: Monitor market trends, raw material costs, and currency fluctuations to identify opportunities for cost optimization. Validate cost-effectiveness of consumables while considering their fit within the target market and use cases.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certifications.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in the industry. Advantage: product management experience preferably in the healthcare or medical device industry.
  • Strong understanding of clinical applications and regulatory requirements for consumable medical products. Clinical background is an advantage.
  • Analytical mindset.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and adapt to changing priorities and requirements
